Margarita’s Restaurant in Salem has chosen Salem Saints Youth Hockey as their Full Moon Madness Charity for the 1st quarter of 2010. The second Full Moon Madness night is being held next Sun, Feb 28th from 4:00pm – 12:00am.
The Full Moon Madness promotion is held in the lounge area. 5% of the total lounge and bar sales from 4pm-midnight on each Full Moon night will go directly to the Salem Saints program. Children are welcome in the lounge. Dinner is available in the lounge. The more people we invite, the more money the program gets. Please spread the word to family and friends.
Margaritas will be playing games and raffling away some awesome prizes donated from local businesses.
SAVE THE DATE: The last Full Moon Madness Nights is Tues, March 30th.

The Salem Saints PW1 team played in the Blizzard Tournament held at the Icenter in Salem NH . The Saints PW1 team went undefeated in the PWA division of the tournament and captured the championship in grand fashion by winning it in overtime. Salem started the tournament out with a 1-0 win over a tough Tri County team. Salem then faced rival Tewksbury 1 and edged them out in a close 3-2 game. The Saints then got the offense going by defeating Gr. Lowell 1 by a score of 7-1 sending them to the championship game versus the Reading 1 team. The championship game was a hard fought battle back and forth. It was 2-2 through the 3rd period, neither team budging. The last couple of minutes were extremely exciting with Salem playing shorthanded, and not giving up any ground as regulation time expired. On to overtime they went. Salem , inspired by their tough shorthanded play, punched in the championship winning goal with 1:49 left in OT.
