DUAL STATE

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

1.  Dual State Games:

The Dual State League Commissioner decides when games are cancelled due to weather or facility breakdowns.

In case of inclement weather or ice breakdowns, teams will be notified of cancellations by the League Commissioner or his representative via the Dual State League Web Site Only! (http://www.dualstate.com)

*** Important: No Phone calls will be made to teams.

2.  SYH Policy for cancelling a Dual State Game

With the unavailability of make up ice especially during high school season, coaches must try not to cancel games.

Of course safety always comes first, but, if it at all possible do not cancel a game. 

If the opposing Team is calling SYH to cancel the game and agrees

to Provide Ice and Officials at their expense YOU MUST PLAY THE GAME!

Before agreeing to a cancellation, you must request and receive an immediate

Email from the opposing coach confirming that their program is canceling and

agrees to provide Ice and Officials for a make-up game at their expense.

When you receive the email forward a copy to DS Director for record.

3.  For all scheduling conflicts (GS .vs. DS or tournaments)

Granite Scheduler is coordinating that effort.  He will determine if a game is to be canceled or not.  If the game is not rescheduled it must be played.  He may ask for your assistance is resolving conflicts.

League games will take priority over tournaments.
